Reid Patterson, son of Jeffrey and Ellie Patterson, was born and raised atop the Santa Cruz Mountains, immersed in Mount Eden's breathtaking beauty. While he admits to initially resisting the pressure to make Mount Eden his career, his path eventually led him back to the place he calls home.
After studying chemistry and exploring another passion—specialty coffee—Reid returned to Mount Eden in late 2017, embracing his family’s legacy with renewed purpose. Under Jeffrey’s mentorship in farming and winemaking, Reid has grown into his role as General Manager, immersing himself in all facets of the wine industry.
With a keen interest in viticulture, Reid thrives on the unique challenges each season brings, striving to honor the land and craft exceptional wines. Joined by his sister Sophie, Reid is proud to carry forward the Patterson family’s remarkable legacy at Mount Eden Vineyards.
